Prevent Duty Training

Recognise the signs of radicalisation and learn how to respond under the Prevent duty, a key part of UK counter-terrorism safeguarding.

  • CPD Accredited
Overview

What this course covers

Prevent is the safeguarding strand of the UK's counter-terrorism strategy, and many public and voluntary sector organisations hold a legal duty to have due regard to it. This programme helps staff understand that duty, covering the push and pull factors that create vulnerability to radicalisation and extremism.

Learners also cover how to respond to a concern, including the Channel referral process that offers early intervention support. The course explains how British values underpin the wider Prevent approach.

Polite, informative and non-pushy!

Polite, informative over the phone experience. Able to support with my decision making process when it came to selecting which course would be right for me and my career direction. Was also able to talk me through different payment options and which would be most beneficial for me without it feeling like a pushy sales pitch.

God bless the Student Success Coordinator!

When I purchased and committed to this online course I had no idea how difficult I would find completing a qualification in this way. I am autistic and have ADHD and I massively underestimated my challenges with regards to this format. I simply would not have been able to complete this course if it were not for the support and understanding of my student success coordinator, Kiera. She was my saving grace, with her encouragement, positive attitude and help with generous extensions. This enabled me to have time to seek out the outside help I needed to overcome certain technological obstacles and to master the belief that I could really do what was required. The speed-grading subscription option was also very helpful at one point. The service was excellent and even quicker than promised. I would hesitate before committing to any purely online qualification again, as I think there are not many yet made truly accessible for all neurodivergent people and their needs, but I would recommend learn direct to someone, if they were going to undertake one. This is because of the kindness and accessibility of the online support staff that I experienced. Kiera is a wonder.
