What this course covers
Acting quickly and correctly during a cardiac arrest can significantly improve someone's chance of survival, and this programme builds that competence step by step. It covers the chain of survival, how to recognise the need for CPR, and the correct technique for chest compressions and rescue breaths.
Learners then progress to using an automated external defibrillator safely on adults and children, along with how to help someone who is choking. The course works well alongside practical first aid training for staff in schools, gyms and public-facing roles.
