What this course covers
Anyone starting out in health and social care needs a shared foundation of knowledge, skills and behaviours before working unsupervised with vulnerable people. This programme delivers the knowledge element of all 15 Care Certificate standards, from understanding your role and duty of care through to safeguarding and person-centred practice.
It also covers infection prevention, basic life support and handling personal information securely. The course is expected by employers and the CQC across care homes, domiciliary care, supported living and NHS settings, and gives providers a consistent way to induct new teams.
