Aims
The use of radiation must be done in a safe manner. This module aims to increase your awareness and enhance your understanding of the criteria used for radiographic investigations in your practice.
Learning content
Throughout the module, we will look at how the use of radiography adds confidence to the diagnosis of the treatment required which, in turn, benefits the patient in terms of their clinical management, and improve practice and audit techniques.

On completion of this CPD course, you will be able to:
- Identify the criteria you should be using for radiographic investigations in your practice
- Understand the processes and protocols required to conduct radiographic examinations
- Be aware of the importance of Implementing a quality assurance programme for dental radiography
- Understand the legislation relating to radiographic exposure and the need for team training on the dangers of ionising radiation
Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Key Skills 3: Radiography.
Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
