There are no formal entry requirements. An interest in outdoor learning, education, child development or woodland environments will help you get the most from the course.

Placement or practical requirements

No placement, workplace observation or in-person practical training is required. The course is completed fully online.

What you will receive

When you successfully complete the course requirements, you will receive a learndirect certificate of completion.

Course recognition

This is a non-regulated learndirect online course intended to provide you with a strong foundation and understanding for further accredited study as a Forest School Leader.

You will complete a graded online assignment after each unit.

Qualifications

On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Introduction to Forest Schools.

Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
