Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, candidates for whom English is a second language are advised that their reading and writing skills should be equivalent to at least Level 6 of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Test for Non-Native Speakers of English. Candidates may obtain information on this language testing service from the IELTS website (www.ielts.org). Candidates for whom English is a second language may also apply for a Reasonable Adjustment.

Average Completion Timeframe

You have 12 months to complete your course.

Assessment Requirements

You will be assessed through a 1-hour, open-book, multiple-choice online exam, so you will need access to a desktop or laptop and a reliable internet connection for the duration of the exam. The course is assessed in English.

You can re-sit the exam if you need to, by re-registering and selecting the next available exam date. The first resit is free of charge but, after this, additional fees will apply.

Certification Timeframe

Learners can expect their certification within 6 months of completing and passing the course.

All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.

Upon successful completion of your exam, you will receive your certificate and be sent details of how to join IEMA as an Associate Member.

When are you assessed?

As you’re in control of how you learn, you’re also in charge of when you complete your exam.

This enables you to take as long as you need to thoroughly understand each learning outcome, before completing your exam.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded an IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.

Successful completion of this course, and of the assessment, also confirms that candidates have met the IEMA Associate membership standard, so an IEMA Associate membership will be provided at this stage.
