The International Advanced Level (iA Level) in Economics will prepare you for higher education study. During the course, you will delve into economic theory, the interdependence of micro-economics and macro-economics and how they relate to each other. 

You will also study economic methodology, the operation of markets as well as market failures. By studying the national economy from a global standpoint, you will be able to develop critical arguments and recommendations regarding key economic issues.

It is recommended that students have existing Level 2 qualifications, such as a GCSE in Mathematics or International GCSE (iGCSE) in Mathematics. 

The course and assessment will be available in English only, so students must be able to read and write in English at Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

A Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) has to be completed at the end of each unit and then submitted to your tutor. Once your tutor has assessed the assignment, it will be returned to you with feedback and a final grade. After passing each assignment successfully, you will be ready to take your exam.
