About Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy serves as a means of communication between the subconscious and conscious mind - between feeling and intellect. A hypnotherapist does not and cannot control another person's mind.

The function of the hypnotherapist is to assist and coach in order to mobilise the beneficial powers of the subconscious. This course makes the techniques and the benefits of the hypnotic trance and self-hypnosis available to you.

Requirements

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Assessment

Assessment Method

After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.

The distance learning hypnotherapy training offered by learndirect has been accepted at Introductory Level by The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). Successful completion of this training will permit students to apply for registration within The General Hypnotherapy Register (the GHSC’s Registering Agency) at Preliminary Status.

Optional practical training is run through the SHTC and is available upon request for this course.

Practical training is not required in order to complete the course. Students will receive both the College Diploma and the ASET Award even if they do not complete the optional practical training.
