About the Chi-Kung Certificate
Chi-Kung, otherwise known as Qigong, is a form of gentle exercise focused around breathing. Originally practiced in China, Chi-Kung is now celebrated worldwide thanks to the abundance of emotional, spiritual and medical benefits it offers. It is said that Chi-Kung can help with a range of ailments, ranging from pain and hypertension, to stress and anxiety.
This fascinating distance learning course, breaks the main elements of Chi-Kung down into eight manageable units. During their time studying Chi-Kung with learndirect, students will learn about everything from Taoism and the theories behind Chi-Kung, to the rules of practice and the exercises involved in this discipline.
Who should study this course?
This course is aimed at anyone who has an interest in holistic therapies, gentle exercise or traditional Chinese medicine. Whether students plan to practice Qigong themselves, or teach the exercise to others, this home learning course will help them achieve their goals.
Students won’t need any prior experience before they enrol on this Chi-Kung course. All they need is an interest in Qigong and Qigong mediation, and away to access our materials so they can learn Qigong online.
What happens after the course?
Once students have successfully completed this home study course, they will be able to practice Chi-Kung independently. When regularly practiced, this exercise can have a range of positive benefits upon health and wellbeing.
If students want to use their new found skills to further their education, they may want to consider studying further complementary therapy courses with learndirect. Those with an advanced knowledge of holistic practices can often find work in the following areas:

Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
Assessment Method
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Chi-Kung.
Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
