About your Course

With this level 3 award in advanced aquatic treadmill therapy course, you will build on your existing knowledge to provide the next level of support for the animals in your care.
Through conducting gait analysis, identify abnormal posture and knowing what action to take can dramatically improve the welfare and quality of life of the animals you treat.
The course will also cover how to review patient performance, so you can accurately monitor their progress during treatment, and how to use advanced aquatic treadmill techniques during therapy.
This course includes a practical day within our busy rehabilitation centres alongside our experienced qualified hydrotherapists and physiotherapists. This will give you the opportunity to use aquatic treadmill equipment on a variety of patients. You can choose to attend either our Melksham, Oxfordshire, Chepstow, Newcastle or Aberdeen centres in the UK, or Houston, Texas if you are in the USA. The centres offer state of the art equipment including gait analysis and underwater treadmills and hydrotherapy pools.
You will be required to get in and out of the aquatic treadmill some techniques require you to be knelt and sat in the water with the dog. Therefore, should you require any support in doing so, ensure this is in place and the centre is aware.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to expand your service offering to include advanced aquatic treadmill therapy techniques.
