Through classical literature you will study central human issues including:

  • Fate and destiny
  • Gender
  • War and peace
  • The human and the divine.

Additionally, in this A Level you look at some of the finest art and architecture from the classical world. This will include the Parthenon, the Coliseum and may more.

As part of your A Level Classical Civilisation you will study Homer, Cicero, Plato and Aristotle.

There are also visual arts options, covering a period of some thousand years, from prehistory to the end of the ancient world.

Upon completion of your studies you will have developed literary appreciation, critical thinking, artistic and architectural analysis.
