Course Introduction

Course Info

This A-Level English Language online course covers the full AQA specification, structured around core principles of language study, including textual analysis, language acquisition, and independent investigation. The course encourages you to actively research and debate different views on language use.

You will have complete freedom to structure your learning around your existing commitments, supported by a dedicated tutor who provides advice, guidance, and clear feedback on your assignments.

Exams

The qualification is awarded by AQA, one of the UK’s most respected exam boards, known for its consistent assessment and strong support for learners.

Assessment consists of two written papers that cover the full range of your studies, and a mandatory Non Exam Assessment (NEA). You will be expected to provide extended responses to questions to demonstrate your deeper understanding and draw together your knowledge and skills.

• Written Papers: Two papers sat at an official exam centre in May/June.
• NEA: This coursework component (Language Investigation and Original Writing) must be completed to gain the A-Level.

Exam bookings will be made each January for the following May/June by our higher education team, who will arrange the centre closest to your address.
