You must complete at least 50% of the course and pass the associated assignments before you are eligible to be entered for the exams.

You will have access to the course for 24 months.

Component 1: Varieties of Film and Filmmaking
Written examination assessing film analysis, contexts and spectatorship.
Component 2: Global Filmmaking Perspectives
Written examination focusing on global cinema, documentary, silent and experimental film.
Component 3: Production (NEA)
A practical production task, such as a short film or screenplay extract, supported by an evaluative analysis linking theory to practice.
This balanced approach prepares learners for university-level study and develops transferable academic skills.
