About Your Course

If you have an interest in economics and are confident that you could thrive in a role in finance or business, then the iA Level in Economics will put you on the right track to achieving your goal. These courses are designed for international and UK-based students looking to gain a recognised qualification.

By opting for iA Levels over traditional A Levels, you will benefit from a flexible exam structure. Rather than having to sit all exam units in one go, you can take each exam unit whenever you feel ready. Plus, if you need to re-take a unit, you can do so individually rather than re-sit the entire exam.

With this knowledge, you will be able to apply for degree-level study at an array of universities. Whatever strand of economics or finance that you want to pursue, there will be higher education courses that you can enrol on.

Please note that each university sets its own entry requirements so make sure you research the qualifications you need before embarking on your chosen avenue of study.

The International Advanced Level (iA Level) qualification in Economics covers a wealth of topics, including the interdependence of micro-economics and macro-economics, as well as the concepts within economic theory.

You will also explore the elements that make up the global economy and national economies, as well as the operation of markets and market failures. With this wealth of knowledge, you will be able to form critical arguments about crucial economic issues.

Once you have completed the iA Level Economics course, you will be able to adopt the mind of an economist and apply a thoughtful approach to your studies moving forward.

Getting Started

By opting to enrol on the iA Level Economics course with learndirect, you will get the benefit of learning from home.
