Prevention and Control of Infection
The course has been written to be relevant to a wide range of environments and is ideal for learners who wish to gain an understanding of the causes of infection and how these can be managed and controlled.
The course is designed for those who wish to develop their knowledge of infection control. It is suitable for those who wish to access this training with a view to progression towards further qualifications or for those who wish to study this programme in order to complement other programmes
This award has been mapped against the relevant General Health Care, Health and Social Care and Infection Prevention and Control National Occupational Standards.
Modules
Unit 1: The principles of infection prevention and control
Unit 2: Causes and spread of infection
Unit 3: Cleaning, decontamination and waste management
Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
Assessment Method
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
