About the Gestalt Therapy Certificate
Developed by German-born psychiatrist, Fitz Perls in the 1990s, Gestalt therapy is a client centred approach to psychotherapy. The practice hones in on each person’s individual experience and assesses their state in the present moment. According to Gestalt therapy, the key to unlocking and fulfilling our potential is increasing our self-awareness and blocking negative thought patterns.
This engaging distance learning course has been specifically designed to teach students the key concepts of Gestalt therapy. Spread over eight informative units, this 64-hour home study qualification covers topics ranging from awareness, movement, art and sound, to working with couples, groups and communicating from within.

This course has been specifically designed for those who want to understand this strand of psychotherapy. Perfect for those with previous experience in other therapies, this course will help students to build on their knowledge and skills and become greater practitioners.

What happens after the course?
On successful completion of this home learning course, students will have gained a fundamental understanding of Gestalt therapy techniques. They will able to use this knowledge to begin practicing this kind of therapy with their own clients.

Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
Assessment Method
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Gestalt Therapy.
Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
