Assessment

During your Functional Skills English Level 2 course you will be assessed throughout your learning by our online quizzes. If you achieve 80% or more on our quizzes, you’re ready to take your assignment.  Once all your assignments are passed, you’ll be ready for the mock exams. Qualifications

Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll have worked on all the skills you need for a Level 2 Functional Skills English exam. If you decide to sit an exam, you’ll need to arrange this with us and buy this separately at a later date if you don't want to buy it now. After sitting and passing an exam, you’ll have gained a Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in English. This is equivalent to a grade C or above (4) at GCSE. It will enable you to go on to further education programmes and can also give you access to some universities. If you are looking to progress and are missing that C grade then this is the programme for you.

Functional Skills courses were devised by the UK Government to help improve the literary, numeracy and Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills of people in the UK. As a direct equivalent to GCSE grade C/4, completing Functional Skills Level 2 courses can help you meet job and university entry requirements that require a passing grade in these subjects.

Recognised unanimously as core subjects, an understanding of English and Maths is regarded as essential for the comprehension of all other academic forms of study. Not only that but both numeracy and literary skills are required for the successful navigation of day-to-day life.
