Learners must be working in a Healthcare environment (whether that is employed, or they are on a temporary placement), and they must have a supervisor or manager who can verify their work when necessary (as per the criteria). Please note: The term verify does not mean the same as 'signing work off' - it is someone who can confirm that the learner did what they are saying they did. Our assessor will make the judgement as to whether the work submitted meets the criteria.

This course is also designed for learners aged 16 and above.

The learner must be working, volunteering or on practical placement in an appropriate setting to be able to meet the assessment requirements of this qualification. The placement must be in place for the full length of the qualification, not ending until the qualification is achieved.

The Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support is a competence-based qualification (CBQ).

This course is designed to test your knowledge through a range of end-of-unit assignments. You will submit these to your tutor for feedback, which will help you learn and progress. There are no exams. Observation will be needed in the workplace by an assessor.

A CBQ may be based on national occupational standards (NOS) and is a job-ready qualification that requires learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to work in a specific industry. A CBQ must be assessed in the workplace in accordance with the relevant assessment strategy.
