About the Level 4 Advertising Certificate

In modern society advertising is all around us; even when we don’t even notice it. In such a competitive market, advertising professionals have to be clever, entertaining and memorable at the same time if they want their campaign to succeed. Whilst studying an advertising course with learndirect, you will focus on nine specific modules which aim to give you a foundation knowledge of how the advertising world works.

First of all, you will consider the important factors you should take into account when entering advertising. You will then go on to examine possible costs of advertising and the platforms which are available to you. During the course of your studies, you will also learn about the importance and the functions of agencies, public relations and advertising for the small business. Altogether, the course spans over 110 learning hours, but at learndirect we encourage you to take all the time you need to complete your work.

Who should study this course?

This course has been designed for anyone who wants to get into advertising. If you have a creative mind and the drive to succeed then this diploma could be the key to your future career. The Level 4 Advertising Certificate would also be beneficial for small to medium business owners who are looking to learn the skills they need to promote their companies.

As with all learndirect courses, you need no prior qualifications or experience to apply. All we ask is that you have the motivation to engage in home study, and an interest in pursuing advertising. Also, as this is a distance learning course, it is suitable for people with all schedules. All you need is a computer with access to the internet.

What happens after the course?

By the end of this course you will know all the important factors that professional advertisers must consider. You will also understand how an advert progresses from the initial idea phase through to the production.

If you enjoyed studying this course, you may decide to take your studies further. A course like this one may gear candidates towards further distance learning courses, or even an undergraduate level degree. There are plenty of degrees in advertising and related subjects offered across the UK.

On completion of the course you will possess an accredited Level 4 qualification. This award could also help you into employment right away. And advertising qualification can prepare you for several careers. These include but are not limited to:

  • Advertising
  • Marketing
  • Copy writing

The Quality Licence Scheme endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.

The Quality Licence Scheme is part of the Skills and Education Group, a charitable organisation that unites education and skills-orientated organisations that share similar values and objectives. With more than 100 years of collective experience, the Skills and Education Group’s strategic partnerships create opportunities to inform, influence and represent the wider education and skills sector.

The Skills and Education Group also includes two nationally recognised awarding organisations; Skills and Education Group Awards and Skills and Education Group Access. Through our awarding organisations we have developed a reputation for providing high-quality qualifications and assessments for the education and skills sector.
