Course Introduction

Physics at this level gives you the opportunity to study the phenomena of the universe and the fundamental theories which underpin it. You will explore everything from the smallest subatomic particles to the largest celestial structures, gaining a superior understanding of the key scientific principles that govern how the universe works.

Successfully completing this qualification will provide you with the essential analytical and problem-solving skills needed for a science career. This qualification will enable you to develop your own hypotheses and progress to degree level study in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Course Info

This A-Level / IA-Level Physics online course provides access to the full course material for both the A-Level and International A-Level. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering the core content required to understand modern physics, alongside a selection of specialised optional topics.

You can study at a pace that suits you, with no classrooms or rigid timetables. You will have the support of a dedicated and qualified tutor throughout the course to provide guidance and feedback on your assignments.

Exams

The qualification is awarded by a well-respected exam board (AQA for A-Level, or Pearson for IA-Level).

This course offers you the flexibility to choose between two assessment routes:

• A-Level: Assessed via written papers sat once per year in May or June.
• IA-Level (International A-Level): This route offers greater flexibility with exams held twice a year (summer and autumn).

The exams will cover the full range of core content, presented as multiple choice, short, and long answer questions. Your exams are included with this course bundle, and you will sit them at one of our nationwide exam centres.
