Overview

Accurately maintaining patient records is absolutely critical in the health care sector. The purpose of this module is to cover all aspects of maintaining patient records in an accurate manner and in accordance with GDPR regulations. The Record Keeping module looks at confidentiality, keeping clinical records and recording oral assessments.

On completion of this CPD course, you should be able to:

  • Explain the legal implications for confidentiality with patient information
  • Identify the components of a clinical record and record relative patient data accurately
  • Pass the 20-minute assessment

Requirements

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Record Keeping (DNNET II vol 1).

Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
