Unit 7: Methods for Healing Canine Tissue

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, learners are expected to have working knowledge of English and Maths at Level 2.

You have 24 months to complete your course.

Assessment requirements

This qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence and practical demonstrations. Learners will complete written assignments alongside physical demonstrations on live animals, which will be observed and recorded by tutors.

Learners are also required to complete 42 hours of practical training as part of the qualification.

Yes, learners must complete 42 hours of practical training linked to The Application of Massage Techniques in Canines unit.

Learners must complete the relevant theory elements and pay for their course in full before undertaking the practical training requirements.

Certification Timeframe

Learners can expect certification following successful completion of all assessment requirements and External Quality Assurance (EQA).

Course Fees

All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans, must be settled before certification can be ordered.

Assessment

To successfully achieve the SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Canine Massage, learners must achieve 50 credits across 9 mandatory units.

The qualification has a Guided Learning (GL) value of 410 hours and a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 500 hours.

You will be assessed through portfolio submission, written assessments and practical demonstrations linked to the assessment criteria of each unit. Practical demonstrations must be observed and recorded by tutors as part of the qualification requirements.

As you’re in control of how you learn, you’re also in charge of when you hand in your assignments. This enables you to take as long as you need to thoroughly understand each unit before completing your assessments.

Upon successful completion of this diploma, you will be awarded a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Massage, an Ofqual regulated qualification Ofqual code: 610/3556/7.
