This course is designed to enable the fitness instructor and coach to develop skills in providing a dedicated one-to-one service for health and fitness clients.
About Personal Training
Personal trainers assess the wants and needs of their clients with regard to health and fitness. They measure clients’ present fitness levels and design fitness programmes and regimes which are tailored to each individual. Providing a comprehensive service, the therapist is a motivator, nutrition advisor, lifestyle consultant, and fitness instructor.

What Could I Do After Taking This Fitness Training Course?
Work as a fitness instructor. After successfully completing our Personal Fitness Trainer course , you could apply for jobs as a fitness instructor in gyms or community centres, earning up to £21,000+*/year.
Continue your training. If you wish to further your personal trainer courses and education in personal fitness, you could study for relevant BTEC HNCs or HNDs, foundation degrees, degrees and postgraduate qualifications.
Build your career. If you wish to increase your responsibilities and build your personal training career, you could gain a personal trainer qualification to become a self-employed personal trainer, or work in health clubs, resorts and spas, or on cruise ships. You could even move into sports physiotherapy.

Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
Level 3 Personal Fitness Trainer Certificate of Achievement
The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that learndirect has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.
