This comprehensive life coaching course refers in detail to the Counselling 1995 National Occupational Standards with an additional lesson explaining the 2007 NOS Revision.
Personal coaching, basic counselling, Gestalt counselling, psychodynamic theory, humanistic theory, cognitive behavioural theory and essential counselling skills are included in the course.
Specific issues such as anger, stress, weight control, smoking cessation, emotional issues, faith issues and group/couples work are all discussed in detail. Relaxation, visualisation and autogenic techniques are also included.

Start your own business as a life coach. After successfully completing our life coaching training course, you could start your own business providing life coaching services and earning anywhere from £65 to £500/hour*.
Work as a counsellor. There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
Level 5 Joint Professional Life Coaching and Counselling Certificate of Achievement
The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that learndirect has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject.
