Overview

If you have never considered foot care as a potential career, you may want to give it some thought. That’s because it’s one of the best healthcare professions for those that want to set-up an independent business and be their own boss. Even for those that don’t want the responsibility of owning their own clinic, working flexibly as a foot health practitioner in clients’ homes, residential care, or even in GP surgeries, can provide you with a steady income, as well as the freedom to work around your family and other commitments.

The Foot Health Practitioner course is the only qualification that can offer you the knowledge and skills to become a certified foot care practitioner and unlock such a career. Everything you learn on this programme can be applied to your future: you can choose to open your own practice, work as a qualified professional within a healthcare facility or in a beauty clinic.

People require foot care at different stages throughout their life. Pregnant women, people suffering from diabetes, arthritis, painful hip joints, stiff knees or any condition that prevents them from caring for their feet easily, would benefit from this type of treatment. For others, foot care is a pamper treatment that they enjoy in a beauty therapy setting, rather than a healthcare procedure.

Whatever the setting or the client, foot care is, and always will be, in demand and a varied career choice for any healthcare professional. Therefore, foot health practitioner training can offer you a flexible and lucrative career that will benefit you, no matter whether you’re self-employed or working within a private clinic.

The course comprises of 12 lessons of theory training, which you can complete from the comfort of your own home, in your own time. You can fit your studies around your work or family commitments as a result. Once you have completed this, you will have the opportunity to put everything you have learnt into practice with two weeks of practical training at one of our fully equipped, state-of-the-art foot health training centres.
