Unit 1: Elephant Evolution, Biology, Ecology and Behaviour
On completing this first unit, students will be able to:
- Understand the concepts of elephant evolution
- Understand the principles of elephant biology
- Know the principles of elephant ecology
- Understand the principles of elephant behaviour
Unit 2: Elephants in Captivity and Conservation
On completing this second unit, students will be able to:
- Understand the principles of keeping elephants in captivity
- Know common health problems associated with elephants in captivity
- Know common behavioural problems of elephants in captivity
- Understand the principles of elephant conservation
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners must be aged 16 or over.
Additional requirements:
You will be registered with the Awarding Organisation once you have confirmed the following:
- The learner taking the course has confirmed their formal name and date of birth
- The first payment instalment has been taken (where relevant)
- You have completed the course introduction

Average completion timeframe
You have 24 months to complete your course.
Certification Timeframe
Learners can expect their certification within 6 months of completing the course, following the (EQA) External Quality Assurance of assessment.
Course Fees
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
To successfully gain the Level 3 Award in Elephant Studies, students must complete all units.
You will be assessed through internal assessments conducted online at the end of each unit and assessed by one of our qualified animal tutors.
