Course Introduction

A-Level Physics is an exceptional opportunity to study the phenomena of the universe and the fundamental theories which underpin it, challenging you to understand how the cosmos and the smallest particles behave. This course allows you to develop essential analytical and problem-solving skills alongside crucial hands-on laboratory competency, which is vital for turning complex theory into practical understanding.

This qualification will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills, including the Practical Endorsement, needed for a science career. It is the perfect pathway to confidently pursue degree level study in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Course Info

This A-Level Physics online course provides access to the full AQA syllabus, ensuring you receive a comprehensive and recognised qualification. The curriculum is structured to cover the core content required to understand modern physics, alongside a selection of specialised optional topics, and includes the mandatory practical component.

You can study at a pace that suits your commitments, with the full support of a dedicated and qualified tutor available to provide guidance and feedback on your assignments.

Exams

The qualification is awarded by AQA, one of the UK’s most respected exam boards, known for its consistent assessment and strong support for learners.

Assessment consists of three written exam papers which cover the full range of core content, presented as multiple choice, short, and long answer questions. Only when you have completed and passed the written exams and the practical component will you be awarded your A-Level.

A crucial component is the Practical Endorsement of skills. This is assessed by teachers based on direct observation of your competency during practical activities and must be booked in advance of your written exams. Exams take place at one of our nationwide exam centres.
