Overview

The purpose of this module is discuss digital dentistry and the impact rapid evolution of technology has on patient communication and overall dental practice. The module uses a webinar hosted by Professor Adam Nulty in which you will learn how the evolution of digital technology and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture systems is creating exciting opportunities for improving oral and dental healthcare. The webinar will provide an introduction to Digital Dentistry and give an insight as to what applications and usages of the newest hardware and software technology can be used in dental practice.

On completion of this CPD course, you will:

 

  • Understand what the benefits of digital dentistry are to the team and the patient
  • Know the limitations of digital dentistry
  • Understand how the different applications of digital dentistry can integrate into dental practice

Requirements

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Qualifications

On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Digital Dentistry.

Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
