Head of Paid Social

One of Pearltech’s services to the education industry is to help prospective students who wish to take a course with one of education partners, and take them through a process of application, enrolment and undertaking their course.

As all courses are online, therefore this is an office based and telephone based role, requiring discipline and drive to ensure we deliver on the number of students required by our partners, whilst ensuring a best-in-class service to prospective students.

This critical learner support role will provide a proactive, professional and timely service to learners and will support the delivery of high-quality learning programmes.

This role requires individuals to be caring, ambitious and emotionally intelligent so that their service meets the needs of our diverse learners in the aim to influence their next steps in work and life. The department influences our learners’ futures and, at times, can change their life.

Job Purpose: 

Reporting into the Group Chief Digital Officer, this role will have management obligations of one digital executive, as well as responsibility of the creation, development, and implementation of a data driven Paid Social strategy for the brands within the group. You will be commercially astute and adept at assessing data from campaigns and adjusting practices to increase ROI, lead generation and ultimately market share. It is imperative this candidate has their finger on the pulse and is confident with suggesting new and innovative ways to increase effective paid social activity for the business. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

• Create, develop, and implement a Paid Social strategy for the brands within the group. 

• Management of a £5mil paid social budget. 

• Work with internal creative teams and the digital executive to ideate, create, and activate 

effective paid social campaigns on social platforms including but not limited to; Meta 

Suite, TikTok, YouTube, etc with the aim to increase lead generation and sales. 

• Research into and utilisation of influencer branded activity for paid social. 

• Implement, manipulate, and develop pixels for paid social platforms. 

• Track and analyse data from campaigns, utilising this information to formulate regular 

optimisation plans to progress/improve future performance. 

• Continuous research into new platform features, analyse ROI for utilisation for the 

business and justify to stakeholders, then take ownership of projects. 

• Management responsibility of one digital executive, with the view to grow your team. 

What we are looking for in you:

  • Previous experience in a Head of Paid Social/Paid Social Senior role is essential. 
  • Excellent understanding and proficiency in Paid Social across platforms including Meta Suite, TikTok, YouTube, etc, ideally from an FMCG/Retail/Ecomm/Agency background. 
  • Extremely commercially astute with the ability to view data from all platforms/brands and determine ways to improve/increase ROI and market share. 
  • Previous experience with managing a large marketing budget. 
  • Ability to implement/manipulate/develop pixels for paid social platforms. 
  • Enthusiasm for innovation with ability to uncover new platform features and justify requirements for the business. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Strong presentation ability with experience in success of influencing stakeholders.
