Sales and Marketing (RQF) Level 3
Want to get on in Sales and Marketing? It’s a truly exciting career path. It’s fast paced, dynamic and full of challenges. Our sales training course can give you the sales certification that employers are looking for. Of course they’ll also want great sales skills in potential candidates such as:
- communication skills

Before learning more about how to do successful sales and selling, it's important first to get a sense of what sales and marketing is. Sales is cultivating potential buyers (or leads) in a market; communicating the features, advantages and benefits of a product or service to the lead – then closing the sale.
Marketing involves a wide range of activities in making sure that you're continuing to meet the needs of your customers and getting value in return.
Once qualified and employed within this industry you will find that it takes some beating in terms of challenge, rewards and earning potential. Every business needs sales and good sales people are constantly in demand.
What will you study on this sales and marketing course?
You'll gain the vital skills of understanding of:
- Laws and ethics of selling
- Preparing sales presentations
- Handling objections
- Sales techniques
- Negotiating and closing sales
Developing new business, understanding customer segmentation and profiling are also important and form an essential part of this sales distance learning course.
What qualification will you get?
This ISMM Level 3 Certificate in Sales and Marketing RQF Qualification (600/0241/4) covers the essential skills required for new or aspiring sales professionals. The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) is worldwide representative body for salespeople at all levels. ISMM Sales Qualifications are designed to improve the performance of all sales professionals. This Certificate in Sales and Marketing RQF Qualification carries 17 credits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.
What courses can I progress onto on completion of the Certificate in Sales and Marketing RQF Level 3 course?
Learners can go on to study further. Start with a qualification and if you like it, take more units. You could achieve a more advanced qualification, such as the Level 3 ISMM Diploma in Sales and Marketing RQF. This has 37 credits
What are my future employment possibilities?
This qualification can lead to employment and a new role as a:
- Sales representative
- Sales consultant
- Sales territory manager
- Business development manager
Typical work activities depend on the market, setting and whether the type of sales is business to business (B2B) or business to customer or consumer (B2C).
However, working in a sales department is usually target driven, challenging and very active. Field work can involve travel opportunities, whilst working in contact/call centre could involve regular office hours or split shifts.
Selling is now more and more about relationship management leading to repeated sales - rather than just clinching a one off deal.
