Overview

The Level 1 Certificate in Personal Money Management is an ideal qualification to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to manage personal finance beneficially and to anticipate future needs and wants. It will reduce financial exclusion and allow candidates to use knowledge gained in their own personal financial circumstances.

It will help candidates to understand the importance of shopping around when buying financial products and services; the need to plan finances and review the plans regularly and the differences between short, medium and long-term planning/saving.

It is anticipated that the target group for this qualification will be as wide as possible and likely to be of particular relevance to young people who are likely to be receiving a wage or living away from home for the first time.

Requirements

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Assessment

Assessment Method

After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
