About Your Course

When you embark on a specialist career, you will likely need a range of qualifications. Within the health industry, the education sector, aerospace, engineering, and many other industries, Physics is an important subject.

If you are a student that already has an iGCSE in Physics, then the natural next step is to study for an International Advanced Level (iA Level) qualification in the subject. It is likely that you will already have an analytical mind and a natural love for science.

By studying this course, you will be able to enhance your existing skillset and gain a solid understanding of various topics related to Physics. During your learning journey, you will explore the principles and function of electricity, waves, materials, and mechanics.

As part of your course, you will also get to learn about thermodynamics, fields, radiation, particles, oscillations, and cosmology. Having a wider understanding of Physics will prepare you for future study and work.

Once you have completed your course, you will be able to progress towards degree-level study, undertake training programmes, or apply for entry-level roles in your chosen field.

Keep in mind that by studying iA Levels, you get greater flexibility when it comes to taking your exams. You have three opportunities for exams, with each unit exam being taken when you feel ready to sit it. Also, rather that re-take the entire exam, you can re-sit a single unit.

Getting Started

By studying with learndirect, you benefit from our industry-leading learning platform. Here is where you will have access to everything you need to complete your course and prepare for the exam. Unlike traditional in-person learning, you will not have the restrictions of term times or timetables.

Instead, you will be able to study your iA Level Physics course from the comfort of your own home, and at a pace that suits you. All you have to be mindful of are the dates for the exams. Other than that, you are free to study around your existing commitments.

We have helped more than 4 million students gain the qualifications they need to enhance their career prospects, and now you can become one of those students!
