About Your Course
Studying Biology can open up various career paths to you, and by achieving an iA Level in Biology, you can earn a recognised qualification. The International Advanced Level (iA Level) is available to international and UK-based students looking to enhance their academic profile.
If you are considering embarking on a career path in science, research, medical, or healthcare, it is likely that you will require qualifications in Biology. Achieving this iA Level will put you in a strong position to pursue the career path you want.
There are many benefits to choosing iA Levels over traditional ones, with the main advantage being exam flexibility. You have three opportunities for exams, and you can take each exam unit when you feel ready. Also, you can re-sit a single unit as opposed to re-taking the entire exam.
Delivered online, the course covers a wealth of essential topics that fall under the umbrella of Biology. For instance, you will get to explore biodiversity, molecules, coordination, health, diet, and transport.
You will also study the environment, conservation, respiration, energy, microbiology, and gene technology. As well as learning the topics and their principles, you will also explore the relationships between each one.
During the course, you will be required to use mathematical processes, which will ultimately strengthen your mathematical ability. Once you have completed the course, you will have a solid understanding of various scientific methods and how to problem-solve.
With this qualification under your belt, you will be able to embark on higher education study or progress into the working world.
