  • Learn about matter, motion, time and space.
  • Explore the Physics of space.

  • Complete this GSCE in as little as 6 months.
  • This course bundle includes all course materials, practical assessments and exams.
  • Open up new exciting avenues of study.

Studying your GCSE

Embarking on the study of Physics is to study the relationship between the smallest grain of sand and the sun. It is the study of matter, motion, space and time.

It is the most fundamental of science disciplines and its main goal is to understand how the universe behaves.

Studying Physics, either on its own or alongside other qualifications, will help start you on a path of understanding how the universe came to be. This vital knowledge will help you go on to study Physics at A Level (or equivalent) and beyond.

During your studies, you will explore energy, the particle model of matter, atomic structure, forces and how they are all linked.

You will also get the opportunity to study space physics including the stability of orbital motion.

This course bundle includes all the material and the two exams you will need to gain your GCSE Physics.

The exams will cover electricity, energy, particle model of matter, magnetism, space physics and more. In paper 1 you will be asked a mixture of multiple-choice, structured, closed short answer and open response questions. Paper 2 will be a written exam.

While the exams will determine your passing grade, practical knowledge is essential to the sciences. That is why you need to take 8 practical lessons alongside your studies.

Note that you will have to book your practical lessons so take that into account when planning your studies. These practical lessons will give you hands-on experience with some of the key principles covered in the course.]

Your exams will be at an exam centre near to you. We will aim to find you a place within 50 miles of your postcode, subject to centre capacity and exam availability.

Upon achieving your GCSE in Physics, you will have a gained a comprehensive understanding of physics including key theories and principals. This will allow you to build your knowledge through studying at A Level or completing an Access to HE Diploma.

You will be assigned a tutor to support you throughout your Physics GCSE. They will be available to provide guidance and answer questions. They will also provide detailed feedback on all your assignments so you can make continual improvements.

Pursuing your career

A GCSE in Physics allows you to go on to study either at A-level, complete an RQF or an Access to HE Diploma. All of which can enable you to go on to study Physics or a Science related degree at university.

Modules

During your studies you will cover the following modules:

  • Introduction to Physics
  • Energy
  • Electricity
  • Particle model of matter
  • Atomic structure
  • Forces
  • Waves
  • Magnetism and electromagnetism
  • Space physic

Requirements

Great news! There are no entry requirements for the course. You will need access to a computer or tablet and an internet connection.

Assessment

At the end of each unit you will find a Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA). This is completed online and submitted to your tutor. Once assessed your tutor will return your work complete with its final grade and feedback. Once you’ve successfully passed each assignment you’ll be ready to take your exam!

Qualifications

If you decide to take the GCSE exam at the end of this course and pass, you will have gained a GCSE in Physics. This will enable you to progress to further and higher education programmes.
