Studying your GCSE

Biology is a diverse and ever-evolving subject. Biology has helped us understand everything from the human body to the natural world and climate change.

But for everything we know, there’s so much more to discover, such as immunology and evolution.

Studying Biology, either on its own or complementing another course, will help you to build your knowledge of the subject and how it applies to the world around us.

It will also allow you to study Biology at A Level and beyond.

The course covers everything from genetics, cell biology and the immune system through to evolution, reproduction, health and the environment.

This course bundle includes all the materials and the two exams you need to gain your GCSE Biology. The papers will cover cell biology, infection and response, homeostasis, evolution and more. The questions will be a mix of multiple-choice, structured, short answer and open response.

While the exams will determine your passing grade, practical knowledge is essential to the sciences. That is why it’s necessary to take 10 practical lessons alongside your studies.

Your exams will be at an exam centre near to you. We will aim to find you a place within 50 miles of your postcode, subject to centre capacity and exam availability.

Note that you will have to book your practical lessons so take that into account when planning your studies.

These practical lessons will give you hands-on experience with some of the key principles covered in the course.

Upon completion of the course, you will have developed your knowledge and understanding of Biology, including key theories and principles. This will enable you to progress to further study such as A Level or an Access to Higher Education Diploma.
