  • Identify potential positive news stories about an organisation
  • Be able to monitor references to an organisation on social media

The Role of the PR Practitioner

Upon completion, you will:

  • Understand the role of PR within an organisation including its role in reputation management, and its role within the marketing mix
  • Understand the convergence between PR, advertising, marketing communications, publicity, lobbying, fundraising and other related disciplines, particularly in a digital context
  • Understand the ethical responsibilities of a PR practitioner and ways to manage ethical dilemmas

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the CIPR Foundation Certificate in Public Relations. 

You have one year to complete this course, but you can also move through the materials at your own pace. Enabling you to complete the course sooner if you have the capacity to.
