About your Course

For most people entering the property market, the only way they can do so is by securing a mortgage that gives them the funds to make the purchase. To get a mortgage, they will need to have their debt-to-income ratio assessed, among other things that can determine how much they are able to lend.

This is a process that can be incredibly complex, with many potential outcomes depending on elements such as how they earn their living. As such, a large portion of the population will seek the help of a Mortgage Advisor, to enable them to better understand the options available to them.

If this is a career path you have considered, you can get qualified through online study. This CeMAP Certificate in Mortgage Advice (Module 1) allows you to complete the first step of three in the journey to becoming a qualified Mortgage Advisor.

Over two insightful units, you will gain a foundational knowledge of the financial services environment and products, as well as UK financial services and regulation. With this knowledge, you will be able to understand aspects of this career like UK taxation, how the volatility of interest rates can affect a mortgage customer and more.

After completing these units successfully, you will be ready to register with the London Institute of Banking and Finance to pay for and take your exam.
