Course Description

All students enrolling on the AQ2016 standards MUST register with the AAT by the 31st August 2022 in order to study and/or achieve your qualification. The new standard of AAT Q2022 will be launched on the 1st September 2022 and will soon be available from learndirect – click here to find out more.

New AAT Qualification: What You Need to Know

On 1st September 2022, the new AAT qualification ‘Q2022’ will be coming into effect, but if you are currently studying on the current Q2016 qualification, you have until June 2023 to complete the Level of your course.

Please note that you will not have to complete the entire AAT framework by 30th September 2023, just the Level you are studying.

If you complete the Level you are on after 1st September 2022, the next Level you will move on to will be the Q2022 qualification. If you complete the Level you are on before 1st February 2022, you could start the next Level at the current standards, which means that you will have until June 2023 to complete the Level.

For those of you currently studying the AQ2016 qualification, you can choose to move on to the Q2022 after 1st September 2022.

IMPORTANT – anyone that enrols on the AQ2016 courses must register as an AAT student with AAT as soon as possible as you only have until 31st August 2022 to do this (see key dates below)

31st August 2022 – Last day for membership registration under the AQ2016 syllabus.
1st September 2022 – All membership registrations will be for the Quals22 syllabus from this date.
30th September 2023 – Last opportunity to sit assessments on any of the current Access level qualifications and AQ2016 Foundation, Advanced and Professional level qualifications. You'll need to ensure you have planned synoptic assessment activity in line with the synoptic assessment schedule.
30 November 2023: Final certificate for all Access, Foundation, Advanced and Professional level qualifications.
