A learndirect campaign has picked up two awards at the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Clarion Awards.
Working with educational experiential experts EdComs, the learndirect roadshow toured around England earlier this year to help give people the skills needed to get back into work. Locals were entertained by free live performances and got handy tips to tackle common issues when looking for jobs – including writing a CV, interview tips and how to prepare for an interview.
Staff from the local learndirect centres were also on hand to provide onlookers with information and guidance about what qualifications were available.
The awards were won in the Live Event and Experiential Campaign categories.
On collecting the awards, Heather Brennan from learndirect said: “It’s fantastic to receive recognition for this work. We had a brilliant time taking the roadshow around the country and the shows gave us a really innovative and entertaining way of engaging with local jobseekers and showing them the importance of improving skills.”
