Create Your Legacy – 20 March 2013, St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent

Create Your Legacy was the event to visit to progress your career. Visitors had the opportunity to talk to recruiting employers and also find out about further training and education available from learndirect to help you achieve your career goals.

The event brought together all elite level athletes and those seeking alternative or complementary careers with employers, educators and training providers who recognise and require the skillsets that a background or detailed knowledge of sport provides.

Skills South West – 19-20 March 2013, UWE Bristol Exhibition & Conference Centre

Did you come to Skills South West, the region’s biggest skills and careers event for 15-24 year olds.? We were there on stand 73.
Whether you’re at school or college, starting work, a teacher, parent/carer or family, this was  one event that could change your future.  Visitors were inspired, motivated and thrilled with over 70 organisations providing interactive features from every major career sector imaginable.

Employing young people: An ABC guide to recruitment and development, free webinar in association with Personnel Today – 25 March 2013

On 25 March 2013 we looked at what’s being done to address the issue of the rising number of Neets and university leavers struggling to secure graduate jobs.

During the webinar our expert panel discussed topics such as:

  • Are the latest government interventions working for businesses?
  • Do businesses know about these schemes and the benefits they can bring?
  • What could be done differently to ensure firms have the young talent in place to grow and develop their business in the next twenty years?

Skills North West – 6-7 March 2013, Eventcity, Manchester

We exhibited at the biggest skills and careers event happening in the region, for 15-24 year old’s. Free to attende, there were hands on interactive features giving young people an opportunity to get a real taste of different future career options.
