Influencing and Negotiating explains the principle of negotiation and how to apply it. You'll learn to recognise the importance of non-verbal communication and social skills in effective negotiation, how to influence people to achieve identified objectives, and know when and how to accept the opinions, values and will of others. As an entrepreneur, it's likely that you'll often need to negotiate with other people and persuade them to, for example, accept an idea of yours. In these situations your influencing and negotiating skills are paramount.

Networking will show you how, by investing time and effort in developing a network of contacts, you'll develop an invaluable resource that will help you to become more effective in your business venture. The course will help you to identify, develop and manage networking relationships that are valuable to all parties involved.

Building Relationships with Customers is, as the title suggests, about developing relationships with your customers and going the extra mile. Emphasis is on stressing the importance of keeping customers informed and reassured. You'll be able to understand expectations and the types of behaviours that will upset and impress customers, and communicate in a way that make customers feel valued.

Keeping Your Customers Happy covers identifying your customers’ needs and expectations and delivering good customer service.

Cost Benefit Analysis will show you how to assess the costs involved in a new project, venture or opportunity, and weigh up the merits of different options. You'll discover how take all the different factors into account when developing a financial case. A number of case studies are accompanied by simple exercises to reinforce learning. You'll get feedback after each exercise so you can see how you're getting on.

Time Management provides practical guidance on how to use your time at work more effectively. It'll help you to analyse how you spend your time at work, and shows how to free up time through delegation or rescheduling. You'll learn how to develop a personal approach to using your time in the most productive way, by prioritising 'urgent' and 'important' activities, and using techniques for minimising disruptions.
