You may have many years’ experience running projects and just need a refresh of your skills or this could be your first step into the world of project management. Or maybe you manage many projects and want your team to have the knowledge to make a positive contribution to any project you work on? Whatever your reason, the APMIC course should be the course for anyone working in project management to consider.
No prior knowledge or experience is required for this qualification. The course will teach you the key elements of the project management lifecycle which covers 27 knowledge areas from the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition. It covers planning and scheduling, communication, teamwork, resource, management, project risk management and project reviews. It offers a fundamental awareness of project management terminology.
Together with the practice exams (also included), this training package provides everything you'll need for the APM Introductory Certificate exam.
Upon completion of the training you can sit the APM Introductory Certificate exam which leads to an internationally recognised qualification (at SCQF Level 6). Your exam booking code is provided by email when you are enrolled onto the course.
The exam is taken online (via your PC or laptop) and has 60 multiple choice questions. 36 marks are required to pass (60%). It takes one hour and is "closed-book".
You will need to show photo ID (passport or driving licence).
You should provide at least 2 weeks' notice to book your exam, and allow 3 to 5 working days to receive your joining instructions.
