    • Whether you're working in a domestic, administrative or corporate role, the intermediate apprenticeship will prove you have the skills and knowledge to offer essential support services to patients, carers, clients and others.

      During the course of the training you'll complete:

      • Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services
      • Level 1 Functional Skills

      This Apprenticeship could help you progress in your role or move into a different area of healthcare support once you have completed the training.

    • Training for this Apprenticeship is based around a combination of mandatory and optional modules. We’ll help you put together the right mix of modules to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career.

      Mandatory:

      • Introduction to personal development in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • Introduction to communication in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • Introduction to equality and inclusion in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • The role of the health and social carer worker
      • Contribute to health and safety in health and social care

      Optional:

      • Minimise the risks of spreading infection
      • Contribute to the effectiveness of teams
    • There are no formal entry requirements but you'll need to have a basic level of English and maths. Once you've attended an interview, we'll place you in an appropriate role if you're not already employed in a care role.

    • For the advanced Apprenticeship you'll take on more delegated responsibility from your extended team in the care setting and have more involvement with your team to ensure they fulfil their roles effectively.

      During the course of your training you'll complete:

      • Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services
      • Level 2 Functional Skills
      • Once you've completed your advanced Apprenticeship, you could continue with your qualifications in this area and progress to further roles within the healthcare sector.

    • Training for this Apprenticeship is based around a combination of mandatory and optional modules. We'll help you put together the right mix of modules to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career.

      Mandatory:

      • Engage in personal development in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • Promote communication in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • Promote equality and inclusion in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
      • The role of the health and social care worker
      • Promote and implement health and safety in health and social care

      Optional:

      • Service improvement in the health sector
      • Manage own performance in a business environment
    • You'll need to have a Level 2 qualification such as GCSEs at grades A* to C, BTEC First Diploma, intermediate Apprenticeship or relevant work experience. Once you've attended an interview, we'll place you in an appropriate role if you're not already employed in a care role.
