This Apprenticeship is perfect if you want work or progress your career in health social care. Available at both intermediate and advanced levels, the training gives you the skills to work in a range of care environments including hospitals, health centres, educational and community centres, residential homes and advice centres.

    Requirements
    • Whether you’re already working or we find a placement for you, you’ll be working in assistant roles supporting your team and the patients in your care.

      During the course of your intermediate level training you’ll complete:

      • Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
      • Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
      • Level 1 Functional Skills

      This Apprenticeship will provide you with an excellent starting point for you to begin specialising in a range of areas including midwifery, nursing, clinical healthcare or radiotherapy.

    • Training for this Apprenticeship is based around a combination of mandatory and optional modules. We’ll help you put together the right mix of modules to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career.

      Mandatory:

      • Introduction to communication in health and social care settings
      • Introduction to equality and inclusion in health and social care settings
      • Introduction to personal development in health and social care settings
      • Introduction to duty of care in health and social care settings

      Optional:

      • Purpose of principles of independent advocacy
      • Dementia awareness
      • Provide support for leisure activities
      • Work with other professionals and agencies to support individuals with a physical disability
    • There are no formal entry requirements but you'll need to have a basic level of English and maths. Once you've attended an interview, we'll place you in an appropriate role if you're not already employed in a care role.

      During the course of your training for this advanced level Apprenticeship you’ll complete:

      • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
      • Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
      • Level 2 Functional Skills

      The advanced Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills to develop your career and specialise in areas including midwifery, nursing, clinical healthcare or radiotherapy.

    • Training for this Apprenticeship is based around a combination of mandatory and optional modules. We’ll help you put together the right mix of modules to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career.

      Mandatory:

      • Promote communication in health and social care settings
      • Engage in personal development in health and social care settings
      • Promote equality and inclusion in health and social care settings
      • Principles for implementing duty of care in health and social care settings
      • Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care

      Optional:

      • Understanding mental wellbeing and mental health promotion
      • Responding to the advocacy needs of different groups of people
    • You'll need to have a Level 2 qualification such as GCSEs at grades A* to C, BTEC First Diploma, intermediate Apprenticeship or relevant work experience. Once you've attended an interview, we'll place you in an appropriate role if you're not already employed in a care role.
