  • Whether you're already working in a childcare setting or we find a job for you, you'll be involved in assistant roles providing care to children.

    As part of the intermediate Apprenticeship, you'll achieve the following qualifications:

    • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce
    • Level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People’s Workforce
    • Level 1 Functional Skills

  • Training for this Apprenticeship is based around a combination of mandatory and optional modules. We’ll help you put together the right mix of modules to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career.

    Mandatory:

    • Contribute to the support of child and young person development
    • Contribute to children and young people’s health and safety

    Optional:

    • Understand child and young person development
    • Promote child and young person development
    • Understand how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
    • Develop positive relationships with children, young people and others involved in their care
  • There are no formal entry requirements but you'll need to have a basic level of English and maths. Once you've attended an interview, we'll place you in an appropriate role if you're not already employed in a childcare role.
