Where can I find the closing date?
All job adverts on our jobs sites include a closing date. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as on some occasions, if we receive a large number of applications, we may close a vacancy early.

How do I apply?
To apply click on the apply button, you will be asked to complete your details and upload a CV. You will receive a notification that you have registered and we have received your application.
You can also register only and sign up to job alerts.

Can I amend my CV once it has been submitted?
Yes, you can access your account and upload a new CV at any time.

If unsuccessful, can I apply again?
If you see a different role and feel you have the skills, we would welcome your application. If it is the same role, we would encourage you to consider whether your skills have changed since the initial application.

Do you accept speculative CVs?
We don’t accept speculative CVs, however vacancies are updated daily on our website so we’d suggest you keep checking the current vacancy page.

When are new vacancies added to the website?
We add vacancies daily as soon as they come through to the recruitment team. Please keep checking the website. If you have signed up to job alerts you will receive notifications for this.

I am interested in several vacancies, what do I do?
Once you have registered with learndirect or have applied for one role, you have created your own account. If you see more vacancies you would like to apply for simply click on apply. All your applications are stored in your account.

What qualifications are needed?
This is dependent upon the position you apply for and the criteria in the job specification. Your existing qualification level will be assessed in addition to your experience and skills.

I am a non EU resident. Can I apply if I don’t have a work permit?
learndirect ltd – we do have sponsorship status, but the eligibility of this would need to be discussed.
learndirect Apprenticeships – unfortunately you must have a valid work permit.
All applicants are expected to provide evidence to satisfy Home Office regulations.

I have a criminal conviction, am I still eligible to work for you?
Operational roles at learndirect are subject to a basic or enhanced DBS check dependent upon the activity they will undertake. We look at any history of criminal convictions carefully. The nature of the conviction will be assessed on a case by case basis. Our duty of care to protect children and vulnerable adults is of the utmost importance.

What is the selection process?
This is dependent upon the role applied for. Typically, this could involve a telephone interview, a first interview and possibly a second interview if required. We also run assessment days for bulk vacancies. The hiring manager will inform you of this procedure.

On some of your adverts, the salary is up to a certain amount. How is this assigned if I am successful?
This would be dependent upon the role applied for and the skills/experience you can bring to the role.

How soon can I expect to hear the outcome of my application?
The hiring manager will endeavour to contact all applicants as soon as they can. If you have not heard anything 14 days after the closing date, you can assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Will I be expected to travel for an interview?
We will try our best to accommodate all applicants by finding the most suitable location for interviews. Sometimes this may not always be possible, particularly when assessment days are arranged. We apologies if this causes any inconvenience.

How do I get feedback if I have been unsuccessful?
We are unable to feedback if you have not been shortlisted for interview, however if you have reached interview stage and are unsuccessful we will endeavour to feed back to you. The hiring manager will respond as soon as they can.

How many hours do I need to work?
Full time employees work 37.5 hours per week. Part time hours vary depending upon the conditions of the role and what is agreed between the employee/hiring manager.

Do I need a car and a driving license?
This is dependent upon the role for which you have applied and will be detailed within the job specification.

When do I get paid?
All employees are paid on the last working day of the month.

Why do you monitor equality and diversity information and what do you do with the information?
The E&D information which you are asked for when you complete the registration process is used it help us monitor the effectiveness of our recruitment. It is not used as part of the selection decision and the hiring manager will not see this information.
